WHAT WE DO
AntiGravity Theatre Project creates passionate new performance works, each led by a rotating member of our Company, the AntiGravity Ensemble (AGE).
WHO WE ARE
The AntiGravity Ensemble is:
Kym Moore | Michael T. Williams | Francesca Montanile Lyons | Michael Costagliola
We are an ensemble of 4 interdisciplinary performance makers from varied backgrounds who develop, produce, design, and perform each other’s Lead Work. Our model is in the lineage of collectives like 13P, though we are makers, creators, and “playwrights” that generally work outside the traditional American literary drama paradigm.
As collective producers, we enable the development, production, and engagement of each other’s work.
Our work does not seek to be tonally homogenous; each piece is radically different than the next. We create across genres and inside genre-collisions. We collaborate with actor-creators, musicians, writers, poets, composers, dancers, educators, and visual artists that contribute to the evolution of our creative process. The hat of “Lead Artist” rotates around the Ensemble, as well as to Guest Artists.
AntiGravity Theatre Project is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit theatre company in the State of Rhode Island. Our advising board is: Peggy Howard Chane, Jimi Napoli, Hans Bulteryst, Aaron Malkin, and Lee Taglin.
